Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
As we say haere rā to Term 1, we can’t believe how quickly it has gone. Ka mau te wehi — we made it through our first term together! We hope you enjoyed the long weekend and spent quality time with loved ones.
- School Holidays: Library visits will pause over the next two weeks.
- Cold & Wet Weather: Please pack warm clothes, a jersey or jacket, and spare clothes daily. If tamariki do not have appropriate spare clothing when needed, whānau may be asked to collect them.
- Healthy Lunchboxes: We do not allow lollies, fizzy drinks, or cordials. Please provide healthy kai and water only to support tamariki energy, focus, and development. Thank you to those already supporting this.
- Winter Changes: We will explore learning about staying warm and caring for our bodies. Summer hats will be sent home unless washed and returned for storage.
- Sunblock: Please apply at home if needed.
- Hours & Attendance: Two weeks’ notice is required for any changes to your child’s hours. Please email the office for requests so we can maintain ratios and clear records. With Ruby away, responses may be slower; Rangi and Komal will support during this time.
- Car Seat Safety: Tamariki must always be properly secured in vehicles. Unsafe practices will be reported to authorities if observed.
- Ready for School Programme: Starting Thursday for our four-year-olds, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, confidence, physical development, and independence.
We encourage tamariki to build independence by managing their belongings during drop-off.
Whānau Voice: We welcome your input on your child’s school readiness and how we can support them.
